None beyond the role
People outside your company join a customer meeting with its guest link, in the browser, with no account or app. This page explains what they see, so you can help them or send them this page.
Before the start
When the guest opens the link early, the page shows The room opens in with a countdown. They can enter their name already and select Save my name; the page takes them in when the room opens.
Join
- Under Enter your name, type your name. It cannot be the name of someone in the host's team.
- Select Enter the room.
- Allow the microphone and camera when the browser asks.
If the meeting has a waiting room, the guest sees Waiting for the host to let you in… and joins automatically once a host admits them. They should keep the page open.
Several people can use the same guest link, each with their own name. After the end time the page shows This meeting has ended.
In the meeting
The guest has the usual buttons: microphone, camera, Share (screen), Raise hand and React. Chat opens the meeting chat. Messages are visible to everyone in this meeting and are not saved.
Background blurs the room behind the guest or shows a built-in picture instead. See Blur or replace your video background.
The organiser sees the name the guest entered and when they join and leave. A Privacy link explains this.
If the meeting is recorded
A guest is always told before recording starts: This meeting is being recorded with Stay and Leave. A banner stays visible while the recording runs.
