Who can use this
OwnerCompany adminRequirements
None beyond the role
Owner and Company admin open Company admin → Sales & integrations → Templates. Sales people pick a template when they create a proposal or contract on a deal.
Create a template
- Select New proposal template or New contract template.
- Enter a Name and a Description.
- Tick Default for proposals (or Default for contracts) to make it the template that is chosen first.
- Write the text on the Edit tab. Check it on Preview with sample data.
- Select Save template.
Merge fields
Open Merge fields under the editor for the full list. Type a field with double curly braces, for example {{company.name}}, {{customer.name}}, {{customer.first_name}}, {{deal.name}}, {{deal.value}}, {{document.number}}, {{document.valid_until}}, {{totals.total}}, {{owner.name}}. They are filled in from your company, the customer, the deal and the document when a draft is created.
Product fields come from the first line added from Products: {{product.name}}, {{product.variant}}, {{product.sku}} and {{product.<field_key>}} for your own product fields, for example {{product.start}}. They are empty when the document has no product line.
Block fields such as {{line_items}}, {{totals_table}}, {{owner_signature}}, {{company_legal}}, {{signature_block}} must stand on a line of their own; they insert a whole table or signature area.
A field Dromix does not know stays exactly as you typed it, and the editor warns you about it.
Templates per brand and pipeline
The template marked default is the company default. A brand can choose other templates under Documents & public pages (setup wizard → Brands → Edit), and a pipeline can override them on its General tab under Documents & booking defaults. When someone creates a proposal or contract, the pipeline's template is chosen first, else the brand's, else the default. Archived templates are skipped. See Documents & booking defaults.
Versions and archive
Each save creates a new version. Pick an older one in the Versions list, check it and select Save template to make it current again.
Archive hides a template from new documents. Existing documents keep their text. You can restore it later.
To send a proposal or contract, see Send a proposal and Contracts and e-signatures.
