Filter background voices from meeting and call microphones, choose recording quality, layout and how long recordings are kept, and limit meeting size.

Requirements

None beyond the role

Owner and Company admin set how meetings and calls work for the whole company. Open Company admin → Company → Settings → Meetings, change the settings and select Save.

Microphone filter

Filter meeting and call microphones is on by default. Applies to everyone. Each microphone stops boosting quiet sound and turns down voices that are softer than the person at the computer. People cannot switch this off in their own Dromix. A loud conversation in the same room as the microphone can still be heard.

If someone's voice cuts out when they speak quietly, try turning the filter off.

Recording quality

Choose the Meeting recording quality: Low — 720p, 15 fps (about 0.5 GB per hour), Standard — 720p, 30 fps (about 1.4 GB per hour) or High — 1080p, 30 fps (about 2.1 GB per hour). Applies to recordings started after you save. Smaller files are ready and download sooner. High needs more CPU on the recording server.

Recording layout

Choose the Meeting recording layout: Gallery or Active speaker. When someone shares their screen, the screen fills the frame. Gallery keeps up to four people beside it; Active speaker keeps only the current speaker. People with their camera off appear with their photo or initials.

Keep recordings

Under Keep meeting recordings, choose Until someone deletes them, 7 to 180 days or 1 year. Older recordings are deleted automatically, including the video file. Checked every few hours.

Meeting size

Most people in one meeting: team members and guests together. 0 means no limit. Keep it modest if your server is small.

Recording itself is explained in Record a meeting.
