Desktop app for Windows

Dromix works fully in the browser. The Windows app is optional: it keeps Dromix running in the background, so calls and messages reach you even when no browser tab is open.

#Download and install

1. In Dromix in your browser, open Settings in the left rail.
2. Select Download Windows app. On a wide screen the download icon also sits in the left rail.
3. Run the installer (Dromix-…-Setup.exe) and follow the steps.

The installer comes from your own Dromix server and is made for your workspace, so the app opens your company's Dromix straight away. Sign in as usual, with your password or with QR code sign-in.

#What the app adds

• Alerts from Windows: incoming calls and new messages appear as Windows notifications. Selecting one opens the chat.
• Tray icon: closing the window keeps Dromix running; open it again from the tray.
• Meetings in their own window, so you can keep chatting while you are in a meeting, and share your screen from there.
• Automatic updates: the app checks your server for a new version and updates itself.

Inside the app, Download Windows app is hidden because you already have it.

#Good to know

• The app is a linked device like a browser. You see it, and can sign it out, under Account and security → Linked devices.
• Your settings, chats and notifications are the same as in the browser. Quiet hours and muted chats apply here too.
• On a Mac or Linux computer, use Dromix in the browser. On a phone, see Install Dromix on your phone.
