Connect Meta Lead Ads

Owner and Company admin open Company admin → Sales & integrations → Integrations → Facebook → Lead sources. Leads from Facebook and Instagram Lead Ads forms on this Page arrive in Leads automatically. Each Meta lead is imported once; people who already exist are linked, not duplicated. Every answer is kept as Form answers on the lead.

#Before you start

Connect the Facebook Page first (Page ID, Page access token and app secret). See Connect Instagram and Facebook. Create the forms themselves in Meta Ads Manager or Meta Business Suite.

#Your lead forms

Select Refresh forms to load the forms of the Page. Each form shows its status, how many leads were imported and how many are on Meta. No Lead Ads forms found on this Page. Create one in Meta Ads Manager or Meta Business Suite, then refresh.

#Map the questions

Select Configure on a form. Under Field mapping: Standard questions are mapped automatically. For other questions choose a lead custom field, create a new one, or keep the answer only in Form answers.

• Lead details: name, email, phone and similar questions.
• Custom fields: an existing lead custom field, or Create a new custom field.
• Form answers only: the answer stays only in the lead's form answers.

#Owner, pipeline and sync

• Owner for new leads: a fixed person, or nobody. Without an owner, the Facebook or Instagram rule in Settings → Leads assigns new leads. With a pipeline, each new lead is converted to a deal in that stage.
• Also open a deal: No, lead queue only, or a pipeline and a Stage (First open stage by default).

Select Save. New leads then arrive by themselves. Sync recent leads fetches leads that came in before, for example right after connecting. Only the first 2,000 leads were imported. Run the sync again for the rest.

#When Meta asks for permissions

If you see Reconnect Facebook to grant lead access: The saved Facebook Page token does not have the Lead Ads permissions (pages_manage_ads and leads_retrieval), so forms and leads cannot be read. Reconnect and approve all requested permissions.

Select Reconnect Facebook. Sign in with a Facebook account that manages this Page, select the Page and approve every permission. If leads still cannot be read, open Meta Business settings → Integrations → Leads access and give this app access.
